About the Role

Advocare Australia is building our Talent Pool of dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to people living with disability across Adelaide and surrounding areas.
You will play an essential role in clinical care, health monitoring, and skill development for participants, ensuring their safety, independence, and overall wellbeing.

Registered Nurse

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop tailored care plans

  • Provide high intensity supports including:

    • Complex Bowel Care

    • Enteral Feeding Management

    • Urinary Catheter Care

    • Diabetes Management & Subcutaneous Injections

    • Epilepsy & Seizure Management

    • Severe Dysphagia Support

    • Complex Wound Care

    • Tracheostomy Care and Management

  • Administer and document medications according to clinical best practice

  • Liaise with families, allied health teams, and support staff to ensure continuity of care

  • Mentor and train Disability Support Workers on safe care practices

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

 

Essential Requirements

  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse

  • Clinical experience in disability care, community nursing, or aged care

  • Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) & CPR (HLTAID001)

  • Current Manual Handling Certificate

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (Employee Type)

  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance

  • Current National Police Check
