Support Worker
About the Role
Advocare Australia is seeking passionate Disability Support Workers to join our Talent Pool in Adelaide and surrounding areas.
In this role, you’ll follow a strengths-based, person-centred approach to help people with disability live more independently, build life skills, and connect with their community.
You’ll play a vital part in creating safe, positive home environments while forming strong, respectful relationships with participants, their families, and the wider community.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Provide personal care – including showering, grooming, and dental hygiene

Assist with household tasks – such as cooking, cleaning, and grocery shopping
-
Transport clients to appointments, community events, and recreational activities (travel allowance provided)
-
Support community participation – helping clients engage in social and skill-building activities
-
Follow Care Plans and complete required tasks as directed

Monitor and report on client progress, wellbeing, and any health or safety concerns
Essential Requirements
-
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care
-
Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) & CPR (HLTAID001)

Current Manual Handling Certificate
-
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable car with Comprehensive Insurance

Current National Police Check
-
Current Working with Children Check (Employee Type)

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
